Penumbra
God have mercy. I played this game during the day in a fully lit room and it still scared the crap out of me. Elements such as being almost completely without any weapons and having to open doors manually, gradually, with the mouse makes this utterly horrifying. The graphics are also completely fantastic, which doesn't make it less scary. Confront your inner demons and download it.
Tux Racer
This old game came to mind for some reason while browsing slashdot recently. The gameplay is simple: You are a penguin named Tux and you are supposed to slide down an icy slope and collect as many herrings you can on the way. Despite it not being totally new, you still need some decent 3D-acceleration to run it.

Total Annihilation
The old strategy game that I only discovered just recently. Despite its age it manages to look fine, deliver a massive and action packed atmosphere, and challenge the player in both single- and multiplayer battles. If you look around you'll find literally thousands of custom maps made for this game. And a map editor, should you ever grow tired of the same old levels. Download!
Zombiegrinder 60000
You run, you shoot, you kill, you die. Try to survive as long as possible in this game of death-defying grind core music and zombie-opening shotguns. A nifty detail is that the speed of the game is relative to the speed of the music. Usually 60000 kmph that is.
Jets'n'Guns
A shoot 'em up that has got everything you want. Massive amounts of ememies, thousands of bullets in the air at the same time, explosions lighting up the sky, huge bosses and a fully upgradeable ship. This is what a shoot 'em up is supposed to be like. Plus it's got a mind blasting soundtrack by the awesome band Machinae Supremacy and graphics that'll send you flying. A demo and a torrent.
Grow
I thought the game Grow would be a fitting start for this gaming blog. It's a completely wonderful little game, and totally addicting. All the other versions of Grow, not to mention the other games over at Eyezmaze, are well worth checking out too.
